Both Dan + Shay are engaged to be married to their respective lady loves, and they tell Cody love has had a positive impact on their music.
“We’ve got great girls in our lives, and we’ve been together with them for a long time,” the duo’s Dan Smyers reveals exclusively. “Our music, we tell it as it is. Our first album, we were single guys running around town. That’s kind of what that was. We’ve taken a mature step in our lyrics and the vibe.”
Dan + Shay just released their new music video for “When I Pray for You,” a song they say is “inspired by Shay’s new fatherhood.”
Look for the song on The Shack soundtrack. The Shack hits theaters March 3.
