When Keith Urban met a Beatle... things didn’t go exactly as planned.
The country superstar played a game of “Country Confessions” this week on the Today show and revealed why the time he met Paul McCartney turned into one of his most embarrassing celebrity encounters.
“He was backstage at the Grammys ... He was talking about going to Lake Tahoe. I had been up there a few different times. He said, ‘We’re going up in the summer time.’ I said, ‘Oh, the summer’s fantastic—totally different than the winter.’ And he goes, ‘Is it really? Totally different?’ I had a Chris Farley moment for sure.”
Keith is headed back to the Grammys this weekend to perform alongside “The Fighter” duet partner Carrie Underwood. Watch Sunday (2/12) at 8/7c on CBS.
He will also perform during Stayin’ Alive: A Grammy Salute to the Music of the Bee Gees set to air at a later date.
