Keith Urban & Carrie Underwood Drop 'The Fighter'

Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood are teaming up once again.

The country pair, who wrapped 2016 on tour together in Australia in New Zealand, is joining forces for the next single from Keith’s latest album, Ripcord

The track, called “The Fighter,” features “a guy and girl actually speaking back and forth to each other,” Keith says.

“It comes from a very real place,” the country star adds.  “It’s a song about helping to heal and protect someone you love. It’s a song about reassurance that you’ll always be there to take the blows the world can throw.  Carrie and I had sung together before and I thought our voices blended really well—so she was unquestionably the right choice.  It was such a relief that she wanted to do it.”

Keith and Carrie took to social media from the song’s music video shoot, sharing a look at the boxing ring-inspired set.

Watch the two perform the song for the first time on television this Sunday on the 59th annual Grammy Awards at 8/7c on CBS.
