At one of her only concerts of 2017, Taylor Swift gave fans a taste of what “Better Man” would have sounded like had she recorded it.
The song she penned for Little Big Town was one of two new songs the one-time country phenomenon performed during her pre-Super Bowl 51 bash hosted by AT&T and DirecTV Saturday (2/4) in Houston.
During her rendition of “Better Man,” Taylor stood center stage with just her acoustic guitar, a sight reminiscent of her early days in country music.
“sending so much love and gratitude to @littlebigtown,” Taylor wrote on Instagram after the performance.
“We’ve been waiting for this moment,” Little Big Town responded shortly thereafter. “Absolutely amazing. Thank you, @TaylorSwift!”
Taylor also delivered the first live performance of “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever,” her duet with pop singer Zayn from Fifty Shades Darker.
Taylor has announced the show will be her only concert of 2017.
