Two Faiths, one hilarious viral Internet gaffe.
CNN recently reported on a new duets album from Faith Evans and her late husband, rapper Notorious B.I.G., but in a tweet promoting the story, the news outlet named Faith Hill would be releasing the album, not Faith Evans.
“This sounds awesome,” the country star tweeted with a smiling emoji in response to the mistake.
While CNN issued a correction 10 minutes later, the web had already taken the mix-up and turned it into a viral sensation.
One user tweeted, “‘It was all a dream, I used to watch CMT, Wynonna Judd and Conway Twitty up in the limousine,’” borrowing lyrics from Biggie’s “Juicy” lyrics.
Another posted a photoshopped meme of the rapper who died in a 1997 drive-by shooting with the “Breathe” singer.
While Faith isn’t planning a duets album with Notorious B.I.G., she is planning a comeback country tour with husband Tim McGraw.
The 2017 Soul2Soul World Tour kicks off April 7 in New Orleans. The pair also sing “Keep Your Eyes on Me” from the new film The Shack—out March 3.
