Luke Bryan is getting in his reps before singing the National Anthem at Super Bowl LI.
The country superstar speaks to Rolling Stone in a new interview and reveals how he’s practicing for the pressure-filled two minutes.
“I’ve kind of just been hanging around the house, singing,” he says. “Singing in the stairwell, singing in the shower, singing for my boys. I just tried to get a lot of—I know it sounds like a sports reference—but get a lot of reps in.” Luke will perform “The Star-Spangled Banner” acapella and attempt to “just really, really do a great job singing the anthem and try to honor the country as best I can, and honor our veterans.” Luke follows in the footsteps of Carrie Underwood, Faith Hill and the Dixie Chicks—just to name a few—who have performed ahead of the Big Game. Watch the “Fast” singer perform before Super Bowl LI Sunday (2/5) on Fox.
