Walker Hayes has taken the nation by storm, and everyone is dancing to his smash hit, “Fancy Like.”
Named as one of the top songs of summer, according to a recent poll on Cody Alan’s social media, Walker says that the real key to success is to “try hard, not to try hard.”
The “You Broke Up With Me” singer went on to explain that he is taking his own advice when working on his next round of music and keeping his growing fanbase happy.
“It’s like, Laney and I’s first date wasn’t really planned. We just kind of landed there. You know?” says Walker. “There was no like, “Hey, will you go out with me?” but then when we were there, it’s like, I felt this pressure, like, “Ok, it’s time to be really cool. Like, I’ve got to keep her.” That’s how I felt about “You Broke Up With Me” and really anything that you do that draws new people to you.”
“My team, and my wife, especially Laney, she just reminds me that “Fancy Like” didn’t happen, there was no clenching or clawing. It was just very peaceful. You know?” says the country star. “Very peaceful, creative headspace. So it’s like, “That’s easy! I can do that again!” I am great at not trying!”
