In an interview with Cody Alan, Australian country star Morgan Evans shared his love for American holidays like Memorial Day.
“First of all, I feel like they are all known as ‘Day Drunk’ holidays,” laughs Morgan.
Cody picked up on the joke right away and applauded the “Day Drunk” singer for his smooth song plug.
“You guys did this to me!" teases Morgan. "I’d never written a drinking song until I moved to America, and now I have “Day Drunk!”
Since arriving in the US and being married to Kelsea Ballerini, Morgan is feeling confident that he knows the ropes and how to plan for "Day Drunk" American holidays.
“What would you bring to my picnic?” asks Cody.
Morgan smiles and confidently responds that he always arrives with the "essentials," which are beer, ice, and… greens. “We’ve been getting into skewing a bunch of vegetables and grilling them! It’s been kind of our go-to!”
Hm, veggies? Maybe not the worst idea, but veggies probably do not rank high on the list of "Delicious Memorial Day Fare." However, Morgan did redeem himself by adding, “I won’t show up to your thing without beers!”
