What Does Lainey Wilson Think A Man Oughta Know?

Originally from northeast Louisiana, Lainey Wilson is taking over Nashville with the sweetest southern accent you have ever heard.

In a recent interview with Cody Alan, Lainey reveals that her heartfelt new song, "Things A Man Oughta Know," isn't just about being able to change tires, catch fish, and keep your woman. It's about possessing good character and discernment to do the right thing.

"It was not my idea. My co-writer Jason Nix had brought this idea in," reveals Lainey.

"We got to talking about my childhood and the things that my parents thought I needed to know. I mean, I moved to town in a camper trailer. They had me in the front yard, weaving it in and out of the pine trees," teases Lainey. "But, it's not about all of that. It's not about if you can change a tire or start a fire. It's about having a good character. It's about treating people the way you want to be treated.

It's just about the golden rule, "being kind."

Well, here's the thing, I told you I could do 'em. I didn't tell you I could do it good."
