Hardy Talks About His Old Jalopy Truck

Country music and trucks go together like biscuits and gravy, and country fans love all of those things.

In a recent interview with Cody Alan, country singer Hardy revealed the wheels he is currently driving and shared secrets behind the jalopy he owned before purchasing his current vehicle.

Spoiler Alert: He is thankful for his songwriting royalty payments.

"When "Up Down" and "Simple" rolled in, I called my business manager and said, "Dude. I have never owned a new vehicle in my life. Can I go and buy a new truck?" and he said, "Yeah." So, I went and got a 2018 Ford F150 King Ranch and made a few modifications to it. Nothing crazy. I'm not, like, super flashy, but it's sharp as they say. It's a sharp vehicle." shared the "One Beer" singer with excitement.

Hardy's enthusiasm is warranted. The truck he was driving at the time of his new purchase didn't have speakers. How does a country singer not listen to music on a road trip?

"By the end of my truck, before this one, it was a 2006 or 2004 Silverado and none of the speakers worked. Something about the AC didn't work. It would blow air, but it wouldn't blow cold air. So, I think by the end of it, that was by far the worst because it was in really bad shape by the time that I got this truck." says Hardy.

Cody can relate. "I got a hand-me-down as a first car. It was a Toyota Corolla and, it was when like "rust" was a color that was stylish in color. It was an ugly brown, rust, Toyota Corolla," laughs the radio host. "But, when you get that first car, you don't even care what it is. You are just happy to have wheels."
