Luke Combs Accepted His iHeartRadio Music Award While on His Honeymoon

Over Labor Day Weekend, all of the 2020 iHeartRadio Music Awards winners were revealed during an on-air/social media special. Luke Combs took home three awards, and accepted the honors while on his honeymoon!

This year, Combs won the awards for Country Artist of the Year, Country Album of the Year for What You See Is What You Get, and Country Song of the Year for his hit "Beautiful Crazy."

During his acceptance speech for Country Song of the Year, he thanked his wife Nicole for being the inspiration behind the song, and revealed that they were actually currently on their honeymoon at the time. He said, "Can't believe it, thanks to my beautiful wife for being the inspiration behind the song. We're actually on our honeymoon right now, and she's dancing around right here. That's her laughing in the background. But, seriously, thank you guys so much for the award, can't believe it."

He then got a high five from his wife Nicole who, as he said, was dancing in the background. That is true love, people.

Luke married Nicole back in August during an intimate ceremony at their home in Florida. The country star posted several photos from the big day on the beach and looking head over heels in love. He wrote, "Yesterday was the best day of my life. I got to marry my best friend. I love you @nicocombs, here’s to forever."

Luke also gave acceptances speeches for Country Album of the Year and Country Artist of the Year, and while giving thanks for the latter, he explained, "I'm always very humbled by things like this. I never would've imagined that a guy like me would be in this situation." Combs added, "Can't wait to get back out on the road and see y'all soon."
