High Valley Takes The High Road & Shares Positive Outlook To Quarantine

On the heels of their new EP, 'Grew Up On That,' High Valley dropped in with Cody Alan to offer a little positivity and inspiration for our acknowledgment as we hunker down due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"This whole time has been, well, I'm not going to take away from the fact that it's been tough," shares Brad Rempel. "A lot of people have lost their jobs, and a lot of horrible things have happened health-wise, and everyone has acquired debts and stuff. But, if you want to be a glass half full person and I always wanna try and be, when on earth are we going to have this much uninterrupted time with our family?"

Brad's brother Curtis Remple, who is also the second half of the duo, took his cue and piggybacked off the statement, adding, "Honestly, we are loving this family time. We have never ever had this much time with family before. I hope that most people can focus on that, but obviously, I know people gotta have jobs, and a lot of people don't right now. That really, really sucks. But, I think that there will be some good that comes out of this. People are maybe learning how to slow down and think about what matters most."

Brad and Curtis grew up in a small Mennonite farming community outside La Crête, Alberta. They are no stranger to hard work and hard times. Their new EP reflects their upbringing and offers country fans a nostalgia-filled ode to growing up this way.
