Midland Announces New Acoustic EP – ‘Guitars, Couches, etc, etc’

There is no time to prepare.

The fellas from Midland are making music amid quarantine, and they are proudly delivering it to us quicker than our preferred take-out delivery app.

The acoustic EP called, ‘Guitars, Couches, etc, etc,’ will arrive on Friday, May 29th and will include re-imagined acoustic versions of some of their biggest hits.

Mark Wystrach, Jess Carson, and Cameron Duddy are striving to give their fans a little something to help get ’em through these trying times. The band shared the news of their upcoming EP on Instagram and paired their message with an interesting video, which depicts precisely how a lot of us are feeling right now. The clip showcases a leopard print chair, a matching lamp, all placed in the middle of a deserted scene.

They captioned the video, saying, This Friday we’re releasing ‘Guitars, Couches, etc, etc.’, an acoustic EP with 5 newly arranged fan favorites from our Let It Roll and On The Rocks albums. Social distancing can be tough, and we hope this EP makes y’all feel a little more together.”

Always striving to “make lemonade” or “margaritas” in trying times, Midland’s frontman, Mark Wystrach, shared with CMT Radio’s Cody Alan that they often look to the past for inspiration.

“We are fans and maybe appreciators of quality and I think that a lot of the stuff that was coming out of the 70s, 80s, and 90s, had a profound effect on us. As an artist, and as a creative, all of those colors are going to be in there,” says Mark before continuing to encourage fans to stay positive. “I think you always have to make lemonade out of lemons, and if you got agave, ice, and some tequila, you have to make margaritas!”

Ready yourselves for Friday.
