Move over Nostradamus, country duo Dan + Shay made a 2020 prediction with stunning accuracy.
In a 2019 interview with Cody Alan, the “Tequila” singers bowed what was meant to be a sarcastic witticism into a shocking prediction. In a twist of irony, the duo predicted that the word of the year for 2020 would be “DARK.”
“DARK would probably be a good one,” laughs Shay Mooney. “Everything is dark.”
“We are very pessimistic,” Dan Smyers teasingly follows. “Everything is dark times, dark.”
“I’m going to work that into my vernacular,” smiles Cody as the interview wraps up just in time for a global plot twist begins.
