Miranda Lambert Is A Grounded Superstar

CMA Female Vocalist of the Year Nominee, Miranda Lambert, maybe one of the biggest names in country music, but she’s as grounded as ever.

In a recent interview with Cody Alan, the “House That Built Me” singer opened up that it was the advice from her mom that has helped her stay on the path of success during her career.

“Let’s talk about owning your space for a second,” Cody Alan said as he opened up their interview. “I feel like you are YOU, every time I see you. By the way, since I have known you in Texas, you have never changed. It’s always Miranda.”

“Is it ever hard to own that space going from where you came from in Texas to being a superstar?” asked Cody.

“I think that the only way that I have a career is being who I am. I truly do.” Miranda shared.

“People ask me, “What’s your best advice for new artists?” I say, “Know who you are and stick with it.” That’s my mom’s advice to me from day one. You know, people can really see through something that is not authentic. I’ve had opportunities if I wanted to float off into fame world or Hollywood land, but I just found it uncomfortable.”

Miranda continued to stick to her guns and shared, “All I’ve ever wanted to do is sing country music and write songs, and that’s still all I want to do. . . maybe ride some ponies here and there and save some dogs, but other than that, it’s pretty simple.”

“That’s just who I am at the core, and I don’t think anything can change that.”
