Carrie Underwood Surprises Elementary School Choir + The Tears Flow

Prepare yourselves to “Cry Pretty.”

Ahead of the televised CMA Fest special airing on Sunday, Aug. 4 at 8|7c on ABC, Carrie Underwood is giving us "all of the feels" with her own CMA Fest centered video.

During 2019's CMA Fest, Carrie nabbed the opportunity to surprise the students of Andrew Jackson Elementary Eagle Honor Choir prior to their performance of “The Champion” by joining them onstage. "The kids think they are just here just to rehearse the song 'Champion,' by Carrie Underwood, " says choir director Franklin Willis in the clip. "What they don't know is, she's going to surprise them."

The “Love Wins” singer shared the goosebump worthy video on her Instagram saying, "This makes my heart so happy! I am so proud of the Andrew Jackson Elementary School Eagle Choir! You are all true champions!!” Carrie inserted the muscle emoji and tagged @CMA @CMAFoundation @Ludacris and #MusicEducation.

In the clip, emotions run high and tears fall. "I never thought it was going to be Carrie Underwood, caring about us," shared a teary-eyed student. "It was really special."
