Madison Beer Stops Concert After Man Makes Alleged Gun Threat

BottleRock Napa Valley 2019

A man was ejected from Madison Beer's recent concert this weekend after he allegedly pointed a gun at her.

According to videos that surfaced online early Sunday morning (May 26), the singer-songwriter's showcase at BottleRock 2019 in Napa Valley was apparently interrupted this Saturday (May 25) due to a reported gun threat.

Per clips capturing the incident, Beer was singing a song on-stage when a man, thought to be brandishing a firearm, supposedly shouted "Gun!" The threat appeared to be real, as Beer could be seen abruptly walking toward the back end of the stage and onlookers looking around in a state of panic and confusion.

"A man literally pulled out a gun at a madison beer concert and no one is talking about it, someone or many people could’ve possibly lost their lives if they didn’t catch on," one user tweeted in light of the frightening footage. "This shouldn’t be happening especially at a concert."

In an update tweet from Music News Facts, however, "Police reports confirm that there was no actual weapon involved" and no one was harmed. Another video also seems to show the man in question being hauled off in handcuffs by authorities. As of yet, Beer has not given comment on the alleged incident.

Unfortunately, concert events have become the site of tragedies by shootings and bombings.

You can recall, 2017 was marred by two tragic events: the Manchester Arena bombing and Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting. Explosives from the former killed 22 people at the venue where Ariana Grande's concert was being held, the latter transpired during Jason Aldean's headlining Las Vegas set, where gunman Stephen Paddock killed 58 people and reportedly wounded 515, becoming the worst mass shooting in U.S. history.
