Shania Twain Trades Big Stage For Big Screen Alongside John Travolta

Shania Twain is ditching the stage for movie sets.

The “Any Man Of Mine” singer is joining John Travolta for a film that she began filming in 2017. Two years later, “Trading Paint” is finally ready for the big screen.

In an interview with Sound Like Nashville, Shania shared that John coached her through the process of making films. “I enjoyed it and I enjoyed getting to know John. He’s a very sweet person. I’ve known him for several years now just on a short little chats, but now working on this movie we got to know each other a little bit better,” Shania continued “I’m just lucky to have this film experience because he’s been very nurturing. He coached me through it.”

Watch “Trading Paint” on February 22nd and see Shania take on the role of ‘ Becca ’ a school teacher living in a small southern town, starting over after moving from the big city who find herself deep in love with a dirt car racer named ‘ Sam ’. Sam portrayed by Travolta.

"I’ve done a few interesting things out of my comfort zone the last few years, like acting, and now with Real Country, I’m like, “Okay, I’m taking on this mission, and all I really have is passion behind it, and a great audience out there to connect with.”

Fans can expect to see more boundary pushing moments from the 53-year-old starlet.
