Why Dierks Bentley Compares His Concerts to Hockey Games

DB always looking for a W.

Dierks Bentley opens up about road life in a new interview with Music Row magazine, revealing he looks at each of his concerts as a game of hockey.

The country star is always going for the goal.

“I think subconsciously, fans can tell when the lead singer is having more fun than anyone else onstage. It never feels like we are putting on a show, it’s like we are having an experience show. It’s like a hockey game, every night we’re trying to get a win,” Dierks says.

He’s secured plenty of wins on his current What the Hell Tour with Cole Swindell and Jon Pardi, adding he’s already making plans for his next tour.

“I have a ‘90s cover band as well—Hot Country Nights—so that could be an option next year. It’s something we’ll try to hold on to. We come to these venues and it’s ours for the day, so we want to make the most of it,” Dierks says.

The What the Hell Tour rolls next into Oregon and California before wrapping September 2 in Colorado.
