Dierks Bentley is gearing up for a busy 2016, which includes releasing a new album and co-hosting the ACM Awards for the very first time.
For the country megastar, taking the helm of the 51st annual event is a combination of preparation and spontaneity.
“I’ve got a couple of ideas that I’ve been putting down in my phone, and we’re getting ready to do some promo stuff here pretty soon, so we’ll start getting together on that... But, I think down to the end of it, it just comes down to me having a few drinks and just being loose, you know? Obviously, there’s a lot of great writing that goes into the ACMs, but also just being loose and fun and not taking it too seriously.”
Dierks adds in a recent tweet he’s “really excited.”
Watch Dierks and Luke Bryan co-host the 51st Annual ACM Awards April 3 on CBS.
