Dan + Shay's Families Star In Cozy 'Take Me Home For Christmas' Video

Dan + Shay have released the official music video for their original holiday song, "Take Me Home For Christmas."

The clip, set in front of a makeshift studio audience, starts off with an adorable introduction from Shay Mooney's 3-year-old son, Asher. "Ladies and gentlemen, Dan and Shay," he says proudly with a smile on his face, as the camera focuses in on the duo singing from inside the house on set.

Mooney and his bandmate, Dan Smyers, make their way to the front steps of the home to sing the festive tune as fake snow blows around them. The two eventually put on Santa costumes and puts gifts under the tree for their families.

"Baby, won't you take me home for Christmas? / Show me 'round your town / Take me where you used to watch the snow come down / Honor your traditions / I wanna know 'em all / You'll check every box off of my list / If you take me home for Christmas," the duo sings alongside their families gathered on the porch.

Right after the curtain closes, it opens back up to quickly reveal a new scene featuring Smyers at the piano and Mooney standing beside him. "To be continued..." then appears on the screen.

"Take Me Home For Christmas," co-written by Smyers and Mooney alongside Andy Albert, Jordan Reynolds, Jordan Schmidt and Mitchell Tenpenny, is the duo's first original Christmas song.

"It was cool to get in the holiday spirit a little early this year, because I think we could all use some extra positivity and cheer," Smyers previously said of the song in a press release. "Our fans have asked for Christmas music every year, so I hope you all have as much fun listening to it as we did making it."
