Nicole Kidman Thanks Keith in Emmys Speech

Country music wasn’t heard Sunday night on the 69th Emmy Awards, but boy, was it seen!

Nicole Kidman took home top honors by winning “Outstanding Actress in a Limited Series or Television Movie” for her role in HBO's Big Little Lies, and husband Keith Urban got a huge shout out in her acceptance speech.

“I also am a mother and a wife,” she said. “I have two little girls—Sunny and Faith—and my darling Keith, whom I asked to help me pursue this artistic path, and they have to sacrifice so much for it. So, this is yours. I want my little girls to have this on their shelf and look at it and go, ‘Every time my mama didn’t put me to bed, it’s because of this. I got something!’”

Before the show, Keith expressed how “very proud” of his wife he is in an interview with Extra!

“It’s girl power,” he says of Big Little Lies, which was executive produced by Nicole alongside co-star Reese Witherspoon. “It’s unbelievable how they pulled this all together.”

The series itself also snagged “Outstanding Limited Series or TV Movie.”

Keith and Nicole celebrated early with a pre-Emmys date night, at look at which Keith shared on Instagram.

The win is Nicole's first-ever Emmy.
